Our Wines

VAZIS XIDI №1  2017

Our 2017 №1 is characterized by a very own distinct taste, owed to the warm weather during the production and the careful decanting into multiple different qvevris. №1 has a mild taste and is particularly aromatic thanks to its origin on a sunny vineyard hill in Sagrejo.

VAZIS XIDI №2 2017

As for all our wines, the grapes for №2 growing in the summer heat were not watered. This lead to the vines' roots to enter the stone layers, which added very distinct aromatic note to the wine. For this reason this only 3-month old wine was awarded gold medals in the 2018 Berlin Wine Trophy and Mundus Vini.

With the experience and knowledge of our oldest wine master we have created a limited edition of a unique saperavi wine with only 1012 bottles available.

VAZIS XIDI №4  2017

Otskhanuri Saperavi is an indigenous vine, found in the Imereti region of Western Georgia. The grapes ripen very late in the year. Sometimes they are only harvested in mid December.

Compared to wine from Saperavi grapes from the Kakheti region (Eastern Georgia) the color of the VAZIS XIDI N°4 is even darker and more intense. At the Mundus Vini 2018 Tasting our wine’s color received 5/5 points for the criterion «color», which is exceptional for a wine which had only be stored in a qvevri for 5 months. Another characteristic of this wine is its high acid content. The taste of the wine will therefore even improve when it is stored for another 2-3 years.

Alc.                      13,5% Vol.

Consume at         15-18 °C

Goes well with     Red meat and mature cheese

VAZIS XIDI №5 2016

This wine is the product of our very first experiment, using all the knowledge and experience we have elaborately gathered in the whole region throughout the past years. VAZIS XIDI N°5 2016 was awarded with a Berlin Wein Trophy silver medal and an Asia Wine Tropy gold medal in 2017. These first successes encouraged us to further proceed with our approach in terms of harvest, filling of the qvevris and storage.

VAZIS XIDI White №1  2016

VAZISI XIDI White N°1 is our only white wine. It is made from the Rkatsiteli grape, which is one of the oldest grape varieties in the world. The grapes are harvested in October, when they already have a high sugar level. This gives us a dry wine with a rather high alcohol content.
