Welcome to Vazis Xidi
Vazis Xidi means ‘vine bridge’: between eight thousand years of Georgian winemaking and today, between Georgia and western Europe, between the cellar and the table. Since 2016 we have been building the Vinoseum in Geguti by hand, using decades-old reclaimed bricks, directly above the cellar where our wines are made.

Join us for food and wine
We draw inspiration from kitchens around the world and source our ingredients locally in Georgia: from the garden outside our door, the village and the surrounding region. Sturgeon from the next village, Imeretian herbs, cheese from nearby producers. A series of small courses, each prepared to complement the qvevri wine served alongside it.

Our qvevri wines
Red, amber and white, from Georgia’s best-known varieties and from rare ones that seldom leave Georgia. Fermented spontaneously, without stems, in clay qvevri buried in the cellar floor. Small batches, with vintages going back to 2016.

Suites at the winery
Ten suites in two brick towers, no two alike: thick walls, marble and wood, arched windows that look onto the garden or across the plain to the Caucasus. The first open in spring 2027. Leave your email and we will tell you when the doors open.

Geguti is just twenty minutes from Kutaisi Airport. From here, the Black Sea, the mountains of Racha and the historic town of Kutaisi are all within reach for a day trip. The road to Svaneti also begins in Kutaisi. Send us your preferred dates, and we’ll get back to you personally.
